Should i wear a black dress with red lip stick or a red dress with dark burgandy/purple lipstick?

the dresses are for a middle scool dance





and i payed500 bucks for 2 dresses





actually my mom did





she likes the red dress but every one else is wearing black

I hate to break it to you, but your mom is probably right. Anyway, why would you want to wear what everyone else is wearing? And one more thing. Your mom paid for it. I wouldn't argue much if I were you. ;-) But I think a black dress with red lipstick would be sleek and stunning. Do whatever you think looks best!

OK. There isn't any info on your coloring to go on, but I think I can work with what you've provided. First of all, I'd wear the red dress. Everyone else is wearing black. Wear red, shine, and own it! I don't know that I'd do a Burgundy lipstick with it, however, unless it's very sheer. You don't want your colors competing. If you can wear eye makeup, I'd recommend putting the focus on your eyes, and wearing a very pale lipstick, or a clear gloss. Simply mascara and gloss would work even. And I'd keep the shoes and purse something relatively simple. You and the red dress should be the focus.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, wear the red one. But make sure your lipstick isn't too dark for you, it'll make you look a little bit gothic.

hmm i would wear the black with the red lipstick.... then you would blend in well, and besides I Hate burgandy lipstick. lol. however, if you want to stand out, and the lipstick and dress go well with your skin tone, then show everyone else thats hiding their fat packs in black up, and wear that red dress!!! In the first place I'd choose black dress-red lipstick but you shouldn't wear what every one else will ! This combo is really trendy and many other girls will be alike! And the red colour is always noticeable and dazzling! If it's OK with your looks pick the red dress with smokey eyes and pale lipstick...

um..it depends on what you look like!! if you are pale/light complection go with the black dress and red lipstick and if you are tan/medium skin than go with the red dress and burgandy/purple lipstick that would be the best thing to do. good luck!!
